Edward Witte Obituary

Obituary of Edward A. Witte Edward A. Witte, 87 Edward A. Witte, loving husband to Janice (Moeller) Witte died December 28th 2024 in the Amity Place. One of three children born in S. Philadelphia to the late Edward and Elizabeth Witte, The Witte family moved to Green Lane where Edward graduated from Boyertown High. He joined the Army and was a Cold War Vet and served from 1957-1959. Edward was smart and excelled at using his hands. He worked for Superior tube from 1977-2002 when he retired. During retirement he made photo frames and various parts made by hand using his father's milling and Lathe machines. He is survived by his wife, Janice of 61 years, two sons: Eric Witte (Brenda Swinhart) and Fred Witte (Laurel); his sister, Geraldine Maher (James) and a brother in law, Gerald Moeller. He is predeceased by his stepson William "Bill" Witte in 2015 and his brother Robert Witte. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475. Visitation will be from 10-11 with an interment of ashes immediately following at the Limerick Garden of Memories.

Ed, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
