Elizabeth Carling Obituary

Elizabeth Carling, 86, of Chalfont, died Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was the wife of the late William I. Carling, who died February 18, 2019. Born April 30, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Catherine (Stewart) Crane. Mrs. Carling was a longtime, dedicated member of Montgomery Square United Methodist Church, North Wales, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, secretary, and choir member. She was employed as a secretary with a number of medical offices in Montgomery County, and her hobbies including traveling and cruising. Survivors include her children, William E. Carling (Sandra) of Colmar, Wendy A. Carling-Brown (Christopher T.) of Chalfont, and Suzanne Kelly (David) of Hatfield; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and her brother, Ted Crane (Kathy) of Lansdale. Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. August 22, 2025 at Montgomery Square United Methodist Church, 1900 County Line Road, North Wales, PA 19454 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church columbarium. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. Carling's memory to Montgomery Square UMC, address above.
