Elizabeth A. Dimmick, 87, of Bethlehem, formerly of Nazareth, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October, 3, 2024 at her residence. Born in Easton, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Lightcap (Berry).
She was a beloved member of both the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth and the former St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Easton.
A cherished graduate of Easton High School in 1954, Betty dedicated much of her life to working as a sales clerk in various department stores, including the fondly remembered Laubach's Dept. Store in Easton. Through her work, Betty touched the lives of many with her warm smile and kind demeanor.
A woman of many talents, Betty found joy in sewing, cooking, and immersing herself in books. Her creations in the kitchen were often the centerpiece of family gatherings, bringing everyone together, filled with warmth and laughter. Betty's vibrant spirit is remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of sharing in her culinary delights.
She will be dearly missed by her children: David Dimmick of Whitehall, PA, William Dimmick of Pen Argyl, PA, Ryan Dimmick (Carmen) of Bethlehem, Joanna Miechur, of Slatington, PA and Jena Vanderbuilt (Paul) of Bangor, PA; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: William Horn (Sandra) of California, Margaret Ward (Kenneth) of South Jersey, Rosemary Veach (Charles) of Iowa; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, former husband: Robert W. Dimmick (2008); sister: Dawn Kunkle; brothers: Joseph P. & James L. Lightcap; step-mother: Dorothy (Stout).
