Elizabeth G. Kordis

Elizabeth G. Kordis (nee Gallagher), aged 83, passed away on August 26, 2025, in Wilmington, DE. Born in 1942 in Wilmington, she was the eldest child of the late Thomas E. and Mary (Willits) Gallagher. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son Alexander and her dear nephew Micah. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph, her brothers Thomas (Judith) and Richard (Kathryn), her sister Anna, her sister-in-law Helen, her nieces Amalia, Majdie, Sarah, and Nicole, her nephew Nicholas, and many cousins across the U.S.A., Ireland, Slovenia, and Australia. Elizabeth attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic elementary school and Little Flower high school in Philadelphia, before studying at Chestnut Hill college and transferring to the University of Delaware. She graduated with a degree in mathematics and worked in the computer field, starting as a computer programmer in the 1960s and retiring as a systems specialist from Dal-Tile. Elizabeth and her husband Joe shared a passion for travel, visiting relatives in Slovenia, Australia, and Ireland. Family was Elizabeth's greatest joy, and she cherished gatherings filled with food, talk, and memories. Music was another passion, and she enjoyed playing the piano and violin, even resuming violin lessons after retirement. Click here The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lansdale, PA, where Elizabeth was a member for 45 years. Interment will be held privately.
