Ella Hess Obituary

Ella K. Hess, 96, formerly of Hamburg, died October 4, 2025 at Berks Heim, Bern Township. Born August 20, 1929, in Perry Township, she was a daughter of the late Earl John and Pearl Elmira (Hoffman) Hess. She was a graduate of Perry High School and Temple University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing. Ella was employed as a registered nurse with UGI, where she retired from after 20 years of service. Surviving are her two siblings: John M. Hess of Maidencreek Township and Grace E. (Hess), wife of Charles Wuestner of Willow Valley, Lancaster. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Dolores Hess of Honey Brook; four nieces, three nephews, six great nieces, nine great nephews, one great-great niece, and two great-great nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her niece, Donna J. Eckert; and by her four siblings, Earl Hess, Ray L. Hess, Arthur H. Hess, and Pauline J. Hess. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at Zion Cemetery of Perry Township, 770 Zion Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
