Emma S. Bush

Emma S. Bush, 92, of Stroudsburg, passed away early Thursday morning, January 30, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House - Pocono in East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of George Bush with whom she shared 71 years of marriage at the time of his death on February 14, 2021. Born on October 21, 1932 in Egypt, she was the daughter of the late Amelia (Solderitch) DeHaven. She lived in Monroe County for most of her life and worked at several local blouse mills. Emma was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stroudsburg, the American Legion, CLU Club and life-member of the VFW Auxiliary. Surviving are three children, Russell Bush and wife Mary of Sciota, Steve Bush of Stroudsburg and Barbara Keiper and her companion Warren Loney of Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Stephanie Bush, Lisa Roy and Daniel Knowles; two step-grandchildren, Jessica Loney and Shannon Loney; and five great-grandchildren, Connor, Joshua, Mackenzie, Michael and Colton. She was preceded in death by two children, Lee Bush and Diane Knowles; a granddaughter, Nicole M. Lutz; a daughter-in-law, Betty Bush; and two sons-in-law, Douglas Knowles and Frank Keiper. Services will be held on Monday, February 3rd, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at noon followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM with Rev. Elizabeth Koerner officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
