Eric Hamm Obituary

Eric Hamm, 67, of Sassamansville, husband of Lisa (Matz) Hamm, passed away Tuesday December 24, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. Born at the Naval base in Lakehurst, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles and Verna (Nelson) Hamm. Eric was a graduate of Penn Ridge High School Class of 1975. He was an avid gardener and gaming enthusiast. He was a pet lover and conspiracy theorist. Surviving along with his wife are his daughters Kaleena Breitbarth wife of Matthew and Stacy Bivighouse, sons Michael Hamm and Dustin Hamm husband of Kimberly; 6 grandchildren; and brother Carlton Hamm husband of Wanda. Along with his parents, Eric was predeceased by his brother Gordon Hamm and his sister Carol Hamm. A memorial service will be held Thursday January 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eric's memory to Drawn to Help at www.drawntohelp.com/donate or to a local no kill animal shelter.

Fly high and free, Eric! You were such a good guy. You and Lisa welcomed us into your home many times, with an abundance of home grown tomatoes and a very nice picnic in honor of Eric´s school friends. I am still in shock. Hugs and prayers.
