Francis Galante Obituary

Francis Thomas Galante was welcomed into heaven on July 2, 2025. Born at home on October 20, 1926 in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, he was the loving son to the late Giachino "Jake" and Pasqualina "Esther" Galante (nee Ferretti). Frank attended high school in Chestnut Hill and went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and then the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, Frank returned home and opened his company, Galante Roofing. While working in Chestnut Hill, he met the love of his life, Mavis "Jane" Plant. They purchased a home in Oreland to raise their family. They shared 29 years of marriage until Jane's passing in 1992. Frank was a devoted husband, cherished father to Paul Galante, the late Eirin Galante, and Regina "Ginny" Pellicci (Jack), dear grandfather to Samantha, Jimmy and Gianna, uncle to many and friend to all. He is predeceased by his siblings: Lenard, Jane, Ignatius, Joseph, Thomas, Grace, Regina, Albert, Frances, Anthony and John. Frank enjoyed the simple things in life and sharing stories about his family. He loved a nice day at the racetrack, the casinos, watching game shows with his granddaughter Gianna, and spending time with family. He had a heart of gold and always put others before himself. Frank dedicated his life to serve others with great resilience, strength and devotion. He will be missed deeply by all who love him. Relatives and friends are invited to Frank's Life Celebration on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike from 5pm to 8pm.
