Frederick Ehrhardt Obituary

Frederick "Fritz" P. Ehrhardt, Jr., 100, of South Whitehall Township, passed away in his home on June 20, 2025. He was the loving husband of Ardella M. (Becker) Ehrhardt, and they celebrated 76 years of marriage last December 19. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederick P., Sr. and Helen (Bush) Ehrhardt. Frederick graduated from Lafayette College in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from DeSales University on his 100th birthday on March 20, 2025. He also received a commendation from the Senate of Pennsylvania in recognition of his 100th birthday. Frederick served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he was a senior mechanical engineer at Western Electric/AT&T for 35 years until retiring. He was a member of Cedar Union Church, Cetronia. Fritz could fix or make almost anything, and he was happiest in his home surrounded by family and playing in his workshop or with his trains. Survivors: Wife; Children, Phyllis Morgan and her husband, Lt. Col. Martin S. Morgan Jr. (retired), Frederick P. Ehrhardt, III, and Kathleen L. Ehrhardt; 2 Granddaughters, Rebecca wife of Dustin Rosenburg and Rachel wife of James Cowan and 4 Great-Grandsons, Caleb Rosenburg, Colton Rosenburg, Ethan Cowan, and Elliot Cowan. Services: Private. Sorry for your loss. Fritz was a friend, a co-worker and he used to fix my antique clocks. A nice man and a good friend. he will be missed.
