George Gerhab Obituary

George G. Gerhab, 71, of Hellertown, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at The Gardens at Easton. Born in Bethlehem on October 20, 1953, he was the son of the late Ralph P. and Lillian M. (Sides) Gerhab. George was a proud graduate of Lehigh University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics, graduating *summa cum laude* in 1975. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Physics from the University of Hawaii in 1976. He devoted much of his career to education, serving as an Instructor and Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1980 to 1992. In his free time, George enjoyed reading and pursuing lifelong learning. He is survived by his brothers, Ralph C. Gerhab of Nazareth and Glenn G. Gerhab and his wife Wanda of Pleasant Gap. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
