George W. Riegel

George W. Riegel, 97, of Slatington, PA formerly of Flemington, NJ, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Stella (Slizewski) Riegel. Born in Pluckemin, NJ, July 13, 1928, George was the son of the late Wilgus C. and Ida Mae (Huff) Riegel. He owned and operated Riegel Roofing in Flemington, NJ for 30 years before retiring. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Second World War. George was a member of the Slatington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors: Children, Susanne L. Stiller of Slatington, James G. Riegel (Charlene) of Myerstown, Michael J. Riegel (Sandi) of Frenchtown, NJ; siblings, Johnny Reigle of Myrtle Beach, SC, Carol Roggendorf, Ruth Hansen, and Alice Bush all of New Jersey; grandchildren, Sherry, Valerie, Patricia, Nathan, Matthew, Heather, Paul; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; predeceased by a son, David M. Riegel and a daughter, Eunice M. Riegel. Service: A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, PA.
