Harvey R. Gruver, 85, of Bushkill Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Northampton Post Acute in Easton. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Gruver to whom he was married to for 58 years before her passing in 2022. Born in Alpha, NJ, Harvey was a son of the late Harvey and Anna Gruver (Papics).
Harvey served proudly in the Marine Corps and devoted many years to his work at Witco and Persol Chemical, where he was known for his strong work ethic. In addition to his professional life, Harvey had a deep passion for sports. He thoroughly enjoyed playing Quiots and golf, and he loved participating in any kind of athletic activity that allowed him to connect with family and friends.
Harvey will be dearly missed by his daughters: Denise Gruver (Daniel "Chris" Kramer) of Allentown and Sue Kutzman (Brian) of VA.
A Graveside Service will be held privately at Forks Church Cemetery in Stockertown. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. Harvey, you have secured your final beachhead. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in this defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
