James C. "Jim" Busfield

James C. Busfield, 78, of Center Valley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. He was the husband of Bernadette (Voss) Busfield, to whom he was married 54 years. Born in Philadelphia on July 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Busfield and Genevieve (Porzuczek) Busfield. Jim had a lifelong passion for cars, especially his beloved 1951 Henry J. Early in life, he owned and operated a Getty gas station and garage, turning his love for mechanics into a career that fueled his family's beginnings. As his family grew, Jim pursued higher education, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the former Allentown College of Saint Francis de Sales. He was a Computer Aided Designer – Mechanical at the former Western Electric, Allentown for over 20 years before retiring. When he wasn't working under the hood of a car, Jim loved the open road-camping with his family every summer up and down the East Coast, even venturing as far as Nova Scotia. These trips created cherished memories filled with laughter, campfires, and adventure. In addition to his loving wife, Bernadette, Jim is survived by daughters, Barbara (Tom) Styles and Dorothy (Josh) Wenner; and son, James (Ana) Busfield. He was a proud grandfather to Corinna Bartholomew, Peyton Wenner, Juliana Busfield, and James Busfield. Jim is also survived by his brother Joseph (Lois) Busfield, along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He will also be fondly remembered by Bernadette's brothers and sisters, and by the many friends who shared his love of cars, camping, cigars, and good conversation. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Service: A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road Allentown.
