James Loessl Obituary

James D. Loessl, 64, of Mertztown, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 11, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Sheila E. (Mills) Loessl, with whom he shared nearly 29 years of marriage this coming August. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Karl J. and Olivet R. (Kurtz) Loessl. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville. For over 30 years, he has worked in the warehouse of East Penn Mfg., Fleetwood, lastly as a forklift operator in the Alburtis warehouse. He will be remembered for enjoying auctions and especially the love he had for his family. Survivors: wife Sheila; daughters Janine M., wife of Zachary Schneider of Fleetwood, Aimee R. Loessl and her fiancé Jakob of Kutztown; brothers Karl A. of Emmaus, Douglas A., and his wife Cindy of Boyertown, Stephen, and his wife Susan of Nobelsville, IN; sister Karen E., wife of Al LaTourette of Telford; grandson Lucas Schneider; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister in law Brenda Loessl. A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
