Mrs. Jane F. (Sharp) Hoover, 84, of Leesport, passed away on Friday morning, May 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
Born June 2, 1939, in Marion Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Anna Mae (Harding) Sharp. The love of her life, her husband of almost 60 years, Clark G. Hoover, passed away on May 4, 2020.
Jane worked as Director of Nursing at Berks Heim for over 20 years. She also worked as benefits coordinator at Spruce Manor, West Reading. Jane was a member of Tulpehocken United Church of Christ, graduated from high school in Marion Township and received her degree in nursing from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed crocheting and, more than anything else, spending time with her family.
Jane dedicated her life to nursing and caring for her family and many others. She was more than a servant to others, she was a kind, loving, and forgiving soul with a heart of gold, the will and determination of a bull and the best Mom ever.
Jane is survived by her three children, Deborah Patterson, wife of Michael Patterson, Randall C. Hoover, husband of Bethany L. (Moyer) Hoover, and Anita Morris. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 8 great-granchildren, her brother, Norman Sharp, husband of Patsy Sharp, her sister, Anna Norton, widow of Bill Norton, and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Jane will be held on Friday evening, May 17, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Jane will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Clark, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
