Jane L. Litzenberger

Jane L. Litzenberger, 87, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Thursday, March 27, 2025 at her residence. She is the wife of the late Samuel A. Litzenberger, who died April 1, 2016. Jane was born in Easton on September 3, 1937 to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Shannon) Wolfinger. Jane was a third-grade teacher at Easton School District for 9 years. She was a former member of St. Lawrence RC Church, Riegelsville and attended St. Theresa of the Child Jesus RC Church, Hellertown. She graduated from Immaculata College with a bachelor's degree in education. Jane enjoyed walking, swimming, tennis, smelling flowers, Ted Williams and Jack Daniels Black Label. Sunday dinners with her family were a very important part of her life along with the Philadelphia Eagles. Jane lived for being with Emmy, Kimmy and Ollie. Jane is survived by her children: Sara E. (John) Polefka of Bethlehem, Greg S. of Ocoee, FL; sister: Susan (Richard) Johnson of Durham; grandchildren: Emily (Matthew) Lubitz and Kimberly Polefka; great grandson: Oliver Lubitz; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother: Walter Wolfinger. Family and friends are invited to a visitation period from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, St. Lawrence RC Church, 345 Elmwood Ln, Riegelsville. The interment will conclude with services at Riegelsville Union Cemetery. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans, immediately following the graveside service.
