Janet G. Frederick

Janet G. Frederick, 94, of Upper Macungie Township and formerly of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Heather Glen Senior Living. She was the wife of the late Robert R. "Reds" Frederick for 73 years until his death in 2022. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Cathryn (Spitko) Lilly. Janet was a graduate of Allentown High School. She spent most of her life caring for her family, but Janet also worked in sales at Hess's in Allentown for 7 years. Later, she volunteered at Good Shepherd for 20 years. Janet was a former member of Dubbs UCC in Allentown and a current member Bethel Bible Fellowship in Emmaus. She was always active with various groups – the Sunny Rovers Camping Club, serving as a former President of the PTA and planning many trips for the Senior Center and her church. Janet was also proud of being a "25-gallon" blood donor. Survivors: Daughters, Kay Krapf of Schnecksville, Linda Seibert and her husband Gerald of Allentown, Robyn Frankenfield and her husband Dean of Allentown; son, Gary Frederick of Schnecksville; brother, Stanley K. Lilly and his wife Alvera of Bangor; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Janet was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Jones. Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
