Janet Oleksa Obituary

Janet Oleksa, 84, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Oleksa, who died March 15, 1979. Born January 14, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Tillie (Ruck) Gurko. Mrs. Oleksa was a longtime member of Good News Church, Quakertown. She was employed in retail for many years, and she was an avid reader and Elvis fan. Survivors include her children, Joseph Oleksa, Jr. (Laurie) of Pennsburg, Lilly LaRue (Jack) of Doylestown, Mary R. Culp (Gary Turner) of Souderton, and Joann Lampman (Ed) of Mills, PA; seven grandchildren, Jacob (Stephanie), Amanda (Michael), Samantha (Nathan), Ashley, Hunter, Joseph, and Skye; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Sullivan; and brother, Edward Gurko. Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Janet's memory to Good News Church, 424 Juniper Street, Quakertown, PA 18951.
