Jason "J" Althouse

Jason "J" Althouse, 48, of Whitehall, passed away on August 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born February 27, 1977, he was known for his kindness, laughter, and devotion to loved ones. He was the son of Sharon and Drew Wesnak and Ronald Althouse, and brother to Kimberly Althouse Brinker (Bobby Young), Timothy Althouse (Tania), and Adam Althouse (Renee). J was a proud uncle to Kylie, Alexis, Brooke, Dakota, Dannica, and Domonique, and great-uncle to Lilliana, Jameson, and Mackenna. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A 1995 graduate of Liberty High School and later Metro Beauty Academy, J worked as a hairdresser at Panache Salon in Harrisburg and Blo in Philadelphia. His passion for beauty, gardening, and landscaping reflected his love of creating joy for others. He truly loved his family and would do anything for them. With a heart of gold, he helped anyone in need and was loved by all. His beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and generous spirit will be remembered forever, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NSS Life PVR Scholarship Fund, 1301 Ashwood Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317, where a leaf in J's honor will be placed on the Tree of Life.
