Jean Perry Obituary

Jean S. (Tomasik) Perry, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 24, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on December 12, 1937, in Bethlehem, Jean was the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Bolash) Tomasik. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Perry, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories until his passing. Jean's early years were spent in Bethlehem, where she attended Liberty High School. After graduating, she dedicated herself to serving her community through her work in food services for the Bethlehem Area School District and Moravian College. Her hard work and commitment to providing nurturing meals to students and faculty alike were a testament to her caring nature. In addition to her professional life, Jean was a devout and faithful member of Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. She was very active with the church altar guild, devoting her time to ensuring that the sanctuary was a place of beauty and reverence. Her involvement with the church family extended beyond the walls of the building, as she nurtured relationships with fellow congregants and participated in various church activities. She found joy in the simple pleasures, such as watching the Hallmark Channel, which provided her with countless hours of heartwarming entertainment. Her competitive spirit shone through during lively Bingo games, a pastime she thoroughly enjoyed. Family was the cornerstone of Jean's life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Maron, and her husband, Greg, of Allentown. Jean's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Ryan and Brent, and Brent's wife, Amanda, who brought her immeasurable happiness. She also leaves behind her cherished great granddogs, Summer and Nala. Jean was predeceased by her brother, Michael Richard Thomasik, Jr., but her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and grace. Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church at Rosemont, 1705 West Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Jean's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church and/or Family Pillars Hospice, 3910 Adler Place, Ste. 130 Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or the church.

Yesterday

Michelle, thank you for bringing your mom to the Ponticelli reunion this past Summer. We enjoyed talking with her one last time and sharing stories from the old days. We will always remember her talent for making the best walnut cake.
She will be missed. To honor her memory, we will be making a donation to Food for the Poor. May she rest in peace!
