Joan Feldi Obituary

Joan M. (Souder) Feldi, 85, of Telford, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of S. John Feldi, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Sellersville, Joan was the daughter of the late John D. Souder and the late Margaret (Mitman) Souder. A 1958 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, Joan went on to attend the Lansdale School of Business, completing two years of study and graduating in 1962. She worked as a secretary at Clemens, Nulty & Gifford in Souderton for over 20 years. Joan also served with Mennonite Voluntary Service in Ohio, was office manager for Feldi's Furniture, Lansdale, and later managed Feldi's Temporary Personnel Service in Telford, where she worked as a temporary legal secretary. She lastly held the positions of vice president, treasurer, and secretary at Automotion Technologies Inc., also based in Telford. A lifelong and faithful member of Rockhill Mennonite Church, Joan was a Sunday school teacher and served on the cemetery committee for years. Joan had a gift for hospitality - she loved cooking, entertaining, and meal planning. She especially enjoyed time spent at their beachfront condo in Redington Shores, FL and at the family's shore house in Barnegat, NJ. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at their farm in Monterey, VA. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies included gardening, tending flower beds, spending time with children, and dining out-especially at the local Chinese buffet. She loved her yellow labs, Cody & Baron, and Kacee, the cat. Her love for God and her desire to serve Him was evident throughout her life. She was known for her loving and caring spirit as she cared for her family, friends, those in nursing homes, neighbors, and anyone in need. In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her two stepdaughters: Deborah "Debbie" Wambold, of Sellersville, PA, and Dana Gaumond of Furlong, PA; her two step-granddaughters, Isabella and Sophia Gaumond, both of Furlong; and her sister-in-law, Ruth White & husband, Bob, of Lancaster, PA; her three nieces, Renee Martin & husband, Rodney of Waynesboro, VA, Brenda Rankin & husband, Eugene of Lyndhurst, VA, Lori Beinlich & husband, Mike of Forksville, PA; and her two nephews, Mike Souder & wife, Mercy of Mt. Solon, VA and Loren Souder & wife, Tiffany of Lancaster, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, John Merrill Souder and David Souder and her sister-in-law, Susan Souder. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Rockhill Mennonite Cemetery, 3100 Meetinghouse Road, Telford, PA 18969. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Ridgeline Community Church, 3100 Meetinghouse Road, Telford, PA 18969.
