Joanne Radcliffe Obituary
Joanne S. Radcliffe, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. Born in Norristown on May 21, 1939 she was the beloved daughter to the late Louis A. Sr. and Josephine ( Ricciardone) Stifnell.
Joanne was the youngest of her siblings and attended Norristown Area High School where she made life- long friends. She went on to marry the love of her life and best friend, the late Harold E. Radcliffe in 1959. Joanne and Harold enjoyed 58 years of marriage until his passing in 2017. Together their life was filled with fun-loving, spontaneous adventures. Whether they were enjoying their youth riding a motorcycle, or later in life traveling to their cabin in Benton, PA, or taking a drive an hour or two to find a new breakfast spot, they always found a way to create their own fun!
Joanne worked in accounting with Trade Service Systems for 29 years before her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, belly dancing, Pilates, Zumba, Tai Chi, and leading a holistic lifestyle. She was certified in massage and Reiki. In her later years, she enjoyed working at Trinity Lutheran Church, watching toddlers whom she adored. Joanne relished in a great adventure, but she also appreciated the simple things in life like long walks, going for a drive, and accompanying her daughter for their frequent dinner and movie nights. Above all, Joanne's greatest joy was her family.
Joanne was a devoted wife, cherished mother to Bonita "Bonnie" Johnston and Scott Radcliffe, dear Gramme to Rachel (Joe), Eric, Brandon, and Evan, great grandmother to Ryan, Gunner, Troy, and Mia. Loving sister to her siblings and often referred to as "The cool aunt" by her many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. We find comfort that she is reunited in heaven with those that preceded her. Relatives and friends are invited to Joanne's Life Celebration on Thursday July 24, 2025 from 10 am to 10:50 am with her service to follow at 11 am all at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike.
