John L. Gussione

John L. Gussione, 87, of Kunkletown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Rose M. (Russo) Gussione. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in February of this year. Born on June 9, 1938, in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Luigi Gussione and the late Sarah (Hogan) Gussione. John was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a building manager for condominiums in New York City for many years. He was a member of the Building Manager's Guild in NYC for several years. He always enjoyed working with his hands, building and tinkering with things around the house, and working outside. John also loved reading, and he adored his grandchildren. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. John will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. In addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by his daughter, Michele Denninger and her husband John; and his two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Denninger and Ryan Denninger. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Louis Gussione. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 PM with Father John Boyle officiating. Full military honors will the service at the funeral home.
