John Ortelli Obituary

John M. "Jack" Ortelli, 75, of Bushkill Township, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in St. Luke's University Hospital-Bethlehem Campus. Born May 9, 1949, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Lucetta V. "Snook" (O'Brien) Ortelli. He and his wife, Kathleen E. (Urland) Ortelli, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on October 19, 2024. Jack graduated from Easton Area High School, Class of 1967, where he played football. He received a B.A. degree in Health and Physical Education from the former Hiram Scott College. He was last employed by Rid-Et Pest Control, Nazareth. Previously, he worked for Deerfoot Auto Parts and Easton Auto Salvage. Jack had also been a teacher and football coach at Emmaus High School and the former Pius X High School. Jack loved his Harley-Davidson. He was an avid fan of college and professional football, NASCAR and NHRA drag racing. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathleen, is a son, Jeffrey, of Washington Township, PA; a daughter, Jacquelyn and her wife Carly, of Racine, WI; a brother, Joseph V. Ortelli and his wife Dorothy, of Exmore, VA; nephews, Joey and Jamie; a great-nephew, Jordan and a great-niece, Camryn. He was predeceased by a brother, F. Kevin Ortelli. Private arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
