Joseph Koma Obituary

Joseph W. Koma, 72, of Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, died peacefully Monday morning, Feb 3, 2025, in his home. He was the husband of Diana S. (Kromer) Koma since Jan 8, 1977. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Olszewski) Koma. Joseph was owner/operator/agent of the Lentz-Koma Insurance Agency, Jim Thorpe, for over 40 years retiring in 2022. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, where he served on the finance committee and volunteered with the Helping Hands Group. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lafayette Council, Palmerton. He was a 1970 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown, later graduating from The University of Notre Dame du Lac, IN. Joseph enjoyed sports and was an avid Phila Eagles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Fan. Survivors: wife. daughter, Jennifer H. Brunner of Palmerton. son, Andrew M. of Palmerton. 2 grandsons, Elijah Koma of Tampa, FL, and Layne Brunner of Palmerton. sisters, Mary Koma of Palmerton, and Ann wife of Richard Rex of Saylorsburg. brother, Michael of Palmerton. several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Francis, sister in law, Danette Koma, and son in law, Christopher Brunner. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00AM Friday, Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. No Calling Hours. Private Interment, Parish's New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton. Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.
