Joyce M. Deibler

Joyce M. Deibler, 85, of Delaware Water Gap, passed away Tuesday evening, February 25, 2025, while under hospice care at Spring Village at Pocono in East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Donald E. Deibler with whom she shared 59 years of marriage at the time of his death on December 23, 2020. Born on October 11, 1939 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Clara M. (Titus) Warner and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and in earlier years was employed by Bell Telephone. Joyce attended Zion United Church of Christ in Stroudsburg. She was an avid reader; and enjoyed antiquing, shopping, vacationing in Cape May, NJ, spending time with family and friends, and Wednesday morning breakfasts with "the girls club". Surviving are two daughters, Darla Deibler of Stroudsburg and Diana Deibler Carroll and husband David of Shepherdstown, WV; three grandchildren, Anna Carroll, Rachel Carroll and Ben Carroll; a brother, Gary Warner (husband of the late Christine) of Wilmington, NC; two sisters-in-law, Donna Warner of Stroudsburg and Carol Wescott and husband Wayne of East Stroudsburg; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl J. Warner in 2004. Services will be held on Monday, March 3rd, at Zion United Church of Christ, 14 North 8th Street, Stroudsburg where visitation will begin at 10:00AM and be followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Rev. Gary M. Barraco officiating. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Zion United Church of Christ.
