Julia Feeney Obituary

Julia Belle Reynolds Feeney, 88, of Allentown, PA died peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Julie was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 43 years, Dr. Robert A. Feeney, MD (deceased 10/7/01). Born in Factoryville, PA, July 2, 1937 to Dr. Kenneth P. Reynolds and Mary Quinn Reynolds, she was the oldest of 6 children. Married on August 23, 1958, Bob and Julie lived in Pensacola, FL and Cherry Point, NC during Bob's 5 years of service as a Naval Flight Surgeon. They loved their years in the U.S. Navy. In 1966 they moved their family of 5 children to Allentown, PA. That year they established Bob's medical practice, West End Medical Group, which thrived for 40 years with Julie's exceptional support. Julie's proudest role was that of a loving mother to: Abigail Fisher (Allentown); Mark Feeney (deceased); Andrea Kane (Paul) of South Bend, IN; Priscilla Pernigotti (Mariano) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Quinn Lee (Robert) of Lansdale, PA. Julie was very proud of and loved to tell stories about her 17 grandchildren: George, Laura, Addison, Molly, Maria, Genevieve, William, Leo, Christina, John, Michael, Alex, Caroline, Michael, Julia Belle, Austin, and Mary Kate. And her 9 great-grandchildren: Lazarus, Ignatius, Jubilee, Simeon, Ezra, Felicity, Zander, Owen and Margot. Julie is also survived by her siblings: Paul (Lynn) Reynolds, Kathy (Bob) Covey, William (Debbie) Reynolds and was preceded in death by Sarah (George) Conly and Ann (Walter) Lermer. Julie also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and she cherished them all. Those who knew Julie well will remember her for her incredible wit and sense of humor, her open-door and open-heart policy to all her friends and family (and anyone who needed a friend or wanted to be a part of our family). Julie had such a generosity of spirit and was always the life of the party. Everyone was drawn to her and everyone affectionately called her "Grams". She had a deep, abiding love for her husband and children and she also loved painting, gardening, reading, creative writing and playing cards with friends. She was an expert in hospitality and enjoyed entertaining. She taught us that duty was joy. Her joy was as contagious as her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Julie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at a later date, as the family is expecting quite a few additional great-grandchildren to be born in the coming weeks. This is in keeping with Julie's wishes.
