Julie Blom Obituary

Julie Ann Blom, 85, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Joseph D. Blom. Born in Jamaica, Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Constantine and Anna (Sochan) Moriates. She attended Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Catholic Church, Allentown. She was a backroom warehouse supervisor for the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Whitehall that she helped to open and remained until her retirement in 2020. Also, she assisted local youth and adults with their community service project hours. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was greatly loved by everyone, especially her family and a multitude of "adopted" kids and grandkids. She also loved cooking and going to the casino. Survivors: daughters Pauline A., wife of Randal Taylor of Hedgesville, WV, Anne L. Blom of Allentown; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. She was predeceased by her infant children Christopher and Christina. Services: Noon, Saturday, March 15 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling hour to being at 11:00 AM.
