Karen Caperilla

Karen Caperilla, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 29, 2025. She was 78 years old. Karen spent her life devoted to her family. For 57 beautiful years, she shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, James. Together, they built a life marked by laughter, resilience, and unwavering support. Karen was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kerry Reed (Christopher), and carried the memories of her sons, the late James and Todd Caperilla, in her heart with grace and enduring love. Her role as "Mom Mom" brought her immeasurable joy-she delighted in the lives of her granddaughters Brianna, Marissa Creed (Jamie), Delaney, and Charlie. She looked forward with anticipation to welcoming her first great-grandchild, Baby Sutton, whose arrival is lovingly awaited. Karen dedicated 25 years of service to the Montgomery County Courthouse, where she worked with pride and diligence in the Prothonotary's Office. An avid reader, Karen spent countless hours lost in the pages of her favorite books or challenging herself with word search puzzles. Her afternoons often included her favorite guilty pleasure-tuning in to soap operas, which she followed with enthusiasm and delight. Karen will be remembered not only for her professional dedication but for the simple joys that colored her days. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Relatives and friends are invited to Karen's Life Celebration on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 10 AM to 10:50 AM at Visitation BVM Church. Mass will begin at 11 AM.
