Kathryn P. Strohl, 96, of Lehigh Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Luther Crest in South Whitehall Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard E. Strohl to whom she was married 66 years before his passing in 2013.
Born in Little Gap, Kathryn was a daughter of the late John H. and Nora S. (Daneker) Borger. She attended Palmerton School District. A talented seamstress, Kathryn was employed at the former DeVille Blouse Co. in Danielsville for more than 30 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church of Cherryville, where she actively served on the basket committee, soup group, and news letter coalition. Anyone who knew her was familiar with her proud and unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her pride in taking care of her home and property. Kathryn was the epitome of the devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, who will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Linda Sidor and husband, Thomas, of Cherryville; a granddaughter, Jillian Powers and husband, Jeffrey, of Little Elm, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Lincoln, and Livia; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Howard, she was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas J. Sidor, in 2023; two sisters, Ruth Holtzer and Evelyn Howard; and two brothers, Henry Borger and Kenneth Borger.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035. Friends and Relatives are invited to call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery at Little Moore, Danielsville. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the memorial fund of Hope Lutheran Church.

I just learned today that Kathryn had passed. I want to convey my deepest sympathies to her daughter Linda, and the rest of the family. I hadn't talked to Kathryn in a long time, but I thought of her and how nice she was to me. She will be missed. May God Bless.
