Kenneth Nicholas Obituary

Kenneth Calvin Nicholas, Jr., age 93, of Emmaus, passed away on December 28, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Kenneth Calvin Nicholas, Sr. and Catherine (Adams) Butz. He was the loving husband of the late Clariss Mae (Carter) Nicholas with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1951. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Moravian College in 1959. Kenneth proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Upper Milford Mennonite Church in Zionsville. He was a member of the Emmaus Historical Society, the Knights of Columbus Social Club in Allentown, and Mercantile Club of Emmaus. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed trains. Kenneth is survived by his wife in the eyes of the church, Mae L. (Nester) Wentz; daughter, Jean Marie McCutchen and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Sean McCutchen (Julie) and Beth Bolton (Chris); great grandsons, Benjamin and Braddock and half-brother, Robert Nicholas (Helen). He was predeceased by daughter, Ann Louise Nicholas and half-brother, Larry Nicholas. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
