Kevin J. "Jim" Koch

Kevin "Jim" J. Koch, age 61 of Towamensing Township, Kunkletown, passed away, September 16, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown. Jim was born in Crestview, FL on February 16, 1964, son of the late Chester and Mary (Wisler) Koch. He was a heavy equipment operator and owned Jim Koch Excavating in Kunkletown, for over 30 years. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 314 and The Fraternal Order Orioles 183 both in Lehighton. We have been blessed with the presence of Jim in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Jim is survived by his daughter: Holly Koch of Florida, his companion Kristen Duran and her son Jeremy of Kunkletown. Jim is also survived by three sisters: Marie Troch and spouse Brent of Indian River, FL, Jean Edelman of Northampton, and Joann Horn (John) of Whitehall. nieces: Lisa Goeman (Tom), Melissa Knappenberger (Mike), Melanie Moran (Dan), and Brittney Koch, nephews: Kevin Troch and spouse Lisa, Brian Troch (Theresa), David, Edelman, Michael Horn (Jen), Chris Horn, Shawn Horn (Jennifer), Joseph Koch Jr. (Noreen), Elvis Koch and 16 great nieces and nephews and 11 great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son: Tyler Koch, a brother: Joseph Koch Sr. and brother-in-law: Ronnie Edelman. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, with Rev. Deborah Scheffey officiating. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest at the Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Trachsville.
