Larry Eugene Logero, age 85, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2025.
Born in Vandergrift, PA, he was the son of the late John and Viola Logero. Larry was a graduate of Leechburg High School in Leechburg, PA, and Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. He met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Smith, at a fraternity mixer at Penn State. They were married on September 14, 1963, and remained devoted to one another until her passing on January 16, 2024.
Larry lived in Wyomissing for most of his life and was deeply involved in the community. He began his career as a CPA in Pittsburgh, PA, before moving to Reading to work for C. Malcolm Smith and Company. He later joined Rockwell International in Wyomissing prior to transitioning into commercial real estate. His real estate career began at Moore, McClain, Nally, and Shumaker in Berks County. He also worked with Coldwell Banker before moving to Re/Max of Reading, where he remained until his retirement in 2017.
He was a proud member of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity and a lifelong Penn State alumnus and football fan. Larry was also affiliated with PICPA, AICPA, Masonic Lodge 62, and the Berkshire Country Club. He cherished time spent with family and friends and was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Sinking Spring, PA.
Larry's love of sports began early-he played baseball and basketball in school and enjoyed fishing and small game hunting. Later in life, he discovered a passion for golf, traveling for outings with college friends and playing regularly with his golf group. He also played often with his father-in-law, brother-in-law, son, and daughter, and enjoyed taking his grandson to the driving range.
He and Barbara shared a love of travel, creating a lifetime of memories in places like Aruba, Ireland, Africa, China, New Zealand, and Russia. They spent many joyful years vacationing with family on Hilton Head Island. Larry often said, "We live on a beautiful planet, and everything on it that is ugly is man-made." He loved entertaining friends at home, attending theater performances in Reading and New York, enjoying concerts at the Rajah Theater, and dancing with his wife whenever he had the chance.
Larry is survived by his two children: daughter Adrienne, wife of Rip Wilson of Littleton, CO, and son Brent of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Claudia of Lakewood and Littleton, CO. Extended family includes in-laws Patricia and Ken Snyder, Malcolm and Anita Smith, and Michele and Ed Bigos and their families.
