Laurie Buss Obituary

Laurie L. Buss, 58, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy J. â€sButchâ€t and Sharon L. (Wirth) Buss. Laurie was a 1984 graduate of Dieruff High School, received a Bachelor’s in Education from Kutztown University and attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She was very proud to be a Pediatric nurse for 30 years within the St. Luke’s University Health Network. Survivors: Brothers, Steven E. Buss of Bethlehem, Michael A. Buss and his wife Kristine of Breinigsville; nephews, Adam M. Buss, Evan C. Buss, Ian J. Buss; God-Daughter, Bailey Billheimer; aunts, Julie Ann Moyer and her husband Ken of Bethlehem, Karon Billheimer of Bethlehem; dear childhood friends, Diane Foster and Lydia Sassaman; beloved cat, Dexter. Laurie loved everyone and will be remembered fondly by many, including a number of other friends, cousins and extended family members. Services: A prayer service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Richlandtown Union Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, 4501 Crackersport Road, Allentown, PA 18104.
