Dr. Leo J. McCormick, 64, husband of Christine L. (Furstnau) McCormick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his home in North Coventry. Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Leo J. McCormick Sr. and Kathleen (Lisa) McCormick. Leo was a graduate from Bishop Kenrick High School. After high school, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Ursinus College before earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College. Leo's passion for chiropractic care was passed onto his siblings and children as they now run the four McCormick Chiropractic clinics in the area. Leo was an active minister of the church of Scientology. In his down time, Leo loved playing ice hockey, hiking, and swing dancing. He was also known to have a green thumb and was an avid gardener. Surviving along with his wife, Christine of 39 years, are his children Shannan, Connor, Skyler, Adam, and Gia; sister Lisa Weir, wife of John; sister Karen McCormick, wife of Bill Keenan; grandchildren Luke, Josephine, Olivia, and Arthur; and his numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his sister Kathy McCormick. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468). A visitation will be held 9:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
