Leroy Markham Obituary

Leroy E. Markham, 82, of Stroudsburg, passed away Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025 at Northampton Post Acute in Easton. Born on May 26, 1943 in Marshfield, WI, he was one of eight children born to the late Alva and Edna (Smith) Markham. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County and worked for Kohl's Building Products until retirement. Surviving his are two daughters, Catherine Catalano and husband Fred, and Tami Simone all of Stroudsburg; four grandchildren, Brandon Simone and partner Christie, Freddie Catalano, Cassie Simone and boyfriend Mark, and Salena Lopez and husband Ruben; four great-grandchildren, Noah and Xavier Lopez, and Olivia and Olivander Simone; three sisters, Lucile Smith and partner Ben, Gloria Brown and husband Al, and Pearl Zank; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his partner of 32 years, Bernice Theos in 2007; and four siblings, Gladys Mosier, Laverne Markham, Harold Markham and Norman Markham. Services will be held on Friday, September 12th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg where visitation will begin at noon and be followed by a funeral service at 1:00PM with Rev. Paul Crikelair officiating. Burial of his cremains will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
