Linda Reese Obituary

Linda D. Reese, 76, of Allentown, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was the loving wife of Gordon Reese; they would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on October 1st. Linda was born on September 15,1949; she was the daughter of the late Ira and Evelyn Shamp. She enjoyed the simpler things in life and spent much of her time at home enjoying nature in her backyard, with a specific fondness for Hummingbirds and tending to her gardens. Always an amazing fashion sense, she also enjoyed nights out with Gordon at Levitt Pavilion and local restaurants. She was also extremely close to her sister Margie and would often spend hours a day speaking to each other. She was active in her community, spending her Sundays at Wesley United Methodist Church and until recently helping at a local soup kitchen. She was predeceased by her son Matty, who was the true love of her life that she lost in 2006: now they can finally be together in eternity. She is survived by her husband, Gordon; son, Gregory and his wife, Jacquelyn Otto; sister, Marjorie Price; brother, Terry Albertson; the entire Reese family. We will always love you. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Thursday September 25, 2025, at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Section K, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown, PA. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown, PA. In lieu of flowers a donation in Linda's memory may be made to Lehigh County Humane Society 640 Dixon St., Allentown, PA 18103.
