Lucy M. Miller, 86, of Tunkhannock passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Albert C. Miller, in 2017.
Born on December 13, 1938 in Wilkes Barre, she is the daughter of the late Francis Mansfield.
She was a proud graduate of Coughlin High School; she continued her journey of learning as an adult and obtained her associates degree in business.
Lucy enjoyed a fulfilling career as a production planning manager at CertainTeed in Mountain Top. Lucy and Al eventually moved from Wilkes-Barre to Lake Carey to enjoy their retirement, where they treasured the company of good neighbors and great friends.
In earlier years, Lucy cherished her ceramics shop, where she found joy in creating and teaching. She had a heartfelt passion for quilting, gardening, and reading, all of which brought her much happiness. In her later years, she loved to travel the country with her husband in their RV, creating cherished memories together. Lucy was also a devoted member of the Nativity BVM Church.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Kerlavage and Michael Ferrett, Lori Ellis; brother, Robert Mansfield; grandchildren, Meghan Panatieri, Marc Panatieri and Angela Reeves, Alyssa and Connor Feeney, Amanda Miller, Zachary Ellis, and Mallory Ellis; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Linton, Jaxson and Greyson Panatieri, and Logan Miller. She will be sadly missed by her beloved canine companion, Zoey.
In addition to the loss of her husband, she was heartbroken over the death of her son, Albert Miller, Jr., in 2015.
Funeral services will be held privately.
