Madeline Y. Morris

Madeline Y. Morris, 83, formerly of Bethlehem, PA died Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Riverton Healthcare Center, Allentown, PA surrounded by family members. She has joined her husband in Heaven, William H. "Bill" Morris who died December 25, 2024. Their 64th wedding anniversary will be celebrated in Heaven on November 25, 2025. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Madeline was the daughter of the late Martin D. and Mary Louise (Masterson) Rush. After graduation from Phillipsburg High School in 1959, she went onto Lutheran Bible College graduating in 1961. She was a pen maker and assembly line worker for Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph, Bloomsbury, NJ. She was a member of the Bethlehem Garden Club, Book Club and the Oatmeal Bunch. She worked as a docent at Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites which included the Burnside Plantation, and was a former Sunday school teacher and had served as a Director of Parish Education. She was a member of GRACE Church, Bethlehem, PA. Madeline enjoyed scrapbooking, photography and gardening. She also enjoyed long walks and working with her husband on his museum quality dollhouses. What Madeline enjoyed the most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, camping and working on projects with them. Survivors: Children, Lisa L. Johnson and her husband Zachary of Plano, TX, Scott W. Morris and his wife Diane R. of Easton, PA, Matthew M. Morris and his wife Kathryn of Fountain Hill, PA; brother, Karl R. Rush and his wife Barbara L. of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Marissa Costanzo, Miranda Nocchi, Alana Morris, Norma Morris, Carlos Morris; great grandchildren, Calvin, Amelia, Julien; nieces; nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Jordan Johnson and siblings, John M. Rush, Daniel J. Rush and Betty Sue Wolf. Service: Funeral Service 11:00AM Monday, January 13, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem.
