Margarita Diaz

Margarita (Gonzalez) Diaz, 98, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 15, 1927, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eustaquio and Juana (Hernandez) Gonzalez. Margarita was the devoted wife of the late Martin Diaz, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. A proud and loving matriarch, she dedicated her life to her family and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and faith. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Aida Cabrera, Gloria Vendrell and her husband Luis Rolon, Evelyn Correa and her husband Antonio, Hector Diaz and his wife Blanca, Mildred Pagan, Milagros Diaz, Angel Diaz and his wife Sandy, Edgard Diaz and his wife Martha, Eduardo Diaz and his wife Nico, and Heriberto Diaz. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and cherished nieces and nephews. Margarita was the dear sister of Esthervina Gonzalez and was predeceased by her son Martin Diaz and six siblings. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures-playing Bingo, watching her favorite telenovelas, and trying her luck with the lottery. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. A woman of deep faith, Margarita was a devoted member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church for many years and most recently the Pentecostal Church of Bethlehem. Her faith, love, and gentle spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
