Margery Batchler Obituary

Margery J. Batchler, 88, of Brodheadsville, passed away on Sunday, June 8 in the Whitestone Care Center, Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Glenn Batchler. They celebrated 64 years of marriage together before Glenn's passing in 2023. Margery was born March 1, 1937 in Swansea, Wales. She was the daughter of the late John and Nita (Bevon) Rawlinson of Trowbridge, England. Together, Glenn and Marge enjoyed gardening, camping in their travel trailer, and watching wild birds at their feeders. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, MaryLyn Rawlinson of Haverfordwest, Wales and Virginia Ng of Brodheadsville, many nieces and nephews and her two best friends, Joy Sims and Sybil Meade, both of Wiltshire, United Kingdom. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Rawlinson. Margery's family wishes to thank the Whitestone Care Center and Serenity Care for the loving care they gave her. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 26 from Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville with Rev. Jane Arrington Bender officiating. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AWSOM, P.O. Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
