Mary Davis Obituary

Mary Roberta (Cahill) Davis, 94, of New Tripoli, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at LVH in Allentown. Mary was born and raised in Philadelphia. She had a half-brother Robert (deceased). As a young girl, she enjoyed the hustle and bustle of city life that included school, friends, mummer's day parades, carnivals, games, and traveling to center city to enjoy holiday festivities. While dating Charlies they took Harley Davidson rides to surrounding towns. Mary married the love of her life, Charles Davis (deceased 10/1/99). They celebrated 50 years together. They shared their love with three sons, Dennis C., Charles J. (Maria), and Michael G. Davis, and daughter, Patricia L. Reinert Lehman (Gary). In their mid-40's, they took on a new adventure and moved to New Tripoli, PA. From suburban life to country girl, Mary adjusted well. They built a new home on seventeen acres. The Davis family tree grew with grandchildren, Ronald, Randy, and Ricky Reinert, Linda, Bryan, Kerrilyn, Kristen, and Karli Davis. Great-grandchildren are Devon, Cadence, Bradley and Brooklyn Reinert, Bella, and Reni Davis. Charles and Mary shared their love and land with many family members growing up on the Davis Ranch. Helen and Robert Cahill raised Mary as an only child, but Mary bonded well with Charlie's brothers and their wives. Pete and Mary Davis, Bob and Jane Davis, Buck and Rita Davis who remain like sisters. A special blessing in her life. Top on the list of favorite things was taking part in activities at St. Joseph the Worker R.C. Church. Mary's faith was an integral part of her life shown by reading faith-filled books, praying the rosary daily, attending Mass, prayer group and traveling to pilgrimages and shrines. Mary's warm and friendly personality made making new friends easy. There she met the nicest people. "Thank you!" Charles and Mary enjoyed traveling, camping as a family in the Rockies or later in life, sightseeing tours throughout the U.S. Growing flowers is one of Mary's favorite projects. Did I mention a bowl of vanilla ice cream every evening and a hidden box of chocolates were her secrets to a long life. Mary spent her life as a homemaker, wife, mother of four, grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of six. Her legacy lives on in the love of family. Her home was a castle and her favorite place to be. Praise God, she enjoyed it until the end. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Joseph The Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The 700 Club in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 196 Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

My mother Agnes and I loved your mother, She was the sweetest lady we have ever known. Loved when she would come to visit Mom before she passed. She was very devoted to the church as well. Will be greatly missed.

I am very sorry to see the passing of your Grandmother. I remember doing her hair when I had my beauty salon. She was a sweet lady. I will keep you all in my prayers.
