Matthew B. Selig

Matthew Brett Selig, 53, of Dushore, Sullivan Co., formerly of Germansville, Lehigh Co., passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was the husband of Heather L. (Bailey) Selig to whom he was married 7 years. Born in Allentown, September 3, 1972, Matt was the son of Diane C. (Hoppes) Selig of Germansville and the late Frederick B. Selig III. He was formerly employed as an electrician at Selig Electric in Germansville. Matt was very passionate about cooking BBQ, owning Grumpy's Paradise BBQ for several years in Sullivan Co. In his youth, Matt served as the president of the Lehigh Co. 4-H Seeing Eye Club. He was also a life member of Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, New Tripoli, PA. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid hunter. Matt grew blueberry bushes at his residence and enjoyed making many award-winning products with his harvest. He was a member of the Millview Wesleyan Church, in Forksville, Sullivan Co. and a former member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife and mother; son, Harper B. Selig; stepdaughters, Lauren Cuddeback (Tim), Lacy Brown (Dakota); brother, Brian F. Selig (Karen); sister, Rebecca S. Philbin; step-grandchildren, Eddie, Mark, Amelia, Adalynn; several close nieces and nephews. Service: A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Millview Wesleyan Church, 6575 PA - 87, Forksville, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 am. – 12:00 noon prior to the service. Private interment will take place at Millview Cemetery, Dushore, PA.
