Maureen Mitchell Obituary

Maureen G. Mitchell, 89, of Schwenksville, died Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was the beloved wife of John A. Mitchell, her husband of 60 years. Born April 2, 1936 in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor (Dornbach) Kramer. Mrs. Mitchell was employed as a secretary in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. She was a longtime member of Heidelberg UCC, Schwenksville, and her hobbies included gardening, quilting, crocheting, and genealogy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Tracy Vickers (Tom) of Croydon, PA, and Kim Ferrari (Paul) of Livermore, CA; and four grandchildren, Josh, Cody, Brandy, and Letitia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Kramer. Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Heidelberg UCC, 251 Perkiomen Avenue, Schwenksville, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Schwenksville Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Maureen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
