I offer my most sincere condolences to Montie´s family. I only knew Monte for a brief period of time. In 2004, we deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where we worked together. He was a dedicated and loyal Soldier. Meeting with him was always a bright spot in my day because he always found a way to put a smile on my face. When we weren´t working, we would be fishing or playing cards. After our deployment we both returned to our families, our jobs and our lives. It was unfortunate that we lived so far away from each other and our friendship grew distant over time. I am fortunate and proud to have served with Monte and he will never be forgotten. Til Valhalla. SGM Tony Cahill, Retired.
