Nancy D. Bauer

Nancy Doris Bauer, 94, formerly of Allentown, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Laureldale, PA. She was the wife of the late Robert Edward Bauer, who passed away June 6, 2012. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Charlotte (Gruver) Barta. She worked as an inspector at Fountain Hill Mills. While raising her children in Fountain Hill, along with her former spouse Steve Bendekovits, she was a Den Mother, Girl Scout leader and was known as "Mrs. B" by many. During her 31 years of marriage with Robert, she enjoyed many bus trips around the U.S. and had a group of bus trip friends that would meet for dinners throughout the year. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and was part of many card clubs. In her later years, she enjoyed weekly trips to the casino and spending time with her McDonald's friends. Survivors: daughter Nancy and her husband Barry Breitenstein; step daughter Jean, wife of Elario Severo; daughter in law Sandra Green; grandchildren Kimberly Kline, Michael Green, Jennifer, wife of Scott Donoughe, Jason Pichel and his wife Ginger; step grandchildren Michael Severo and his wife Missy, Melanie, wife of Carl Kist, Mark Herman and his wife Tonya, Brooke Steines wife of Joe Steines and Angelica Fortune ; 4 great grandchildren; 11 great step grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, son Robert Green, step daughter Marie Herman, brother Rolin Barto, sisters Eleanor Deri and Joan Kratzer and step grandson Anthony Servero. Memorial service:11:00 AM, Monday, July 14 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown. Calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown.
