Nancy Evans, 85, of Cresco, PA, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at
Monroe County Hospice House, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 25, 1939, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Lloyd and
Florence (Marshall) Lutz. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Evans,
with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage, laughter, and devotion.
Nancy had a deep love for her dog, Abby, and the San Francisco 49ers. Her home was
filled with everything 49ers. She loved to garden and feed the wildlife.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Andy, and her brothers Alfred Lutz,
Richard Lutz, and Ronald Lutz. She is survived by her loving children: her son Arthur
Fox and his wife Laura; her daughters Tracie Kemmerer, and Florence Drake and her
husband Walter. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Thomas Kemmerer,
Jami Fox, Tara Kemmerer, Alexis Makuta, Courtney Dunlap, Amanda Fox, Zachary Fox,
10 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, where she will be laid
to rest beside her beloved Andy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be
made to AWSOM Animal Shelter in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, an organization close to
Nancy’s heart.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Monroe County
Hospice House for their compassionate care and support in Nancy’s final days.
Nancy Evans will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory lives on in the
