Nancy Snyder Obituary

Nancy L. Snyder, 85 years, of Allentown, passed away on June 4, 2025, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Ronald L. Snyder. Born in Ruppsville, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Florence (Rader) Laudenslager. Nancy worked for DayTimers as a Customer Service Manager for many years before retiring. She was a loving Mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She had a quick wit, loved to laugh and loved listening to Country music. She was always willing to lend a hand to someone who needed help and she took great pride in a hard days work. In retirement, she enjoyed taking bus trips around the country with her late husband and sharing breakfasts with family and friends at a local diner. Survivors: daughter, Michelle Foley of Allentown, son, Scott K. George (Deborah) of Gilroy, CA, stepdaughter, Becky Gower (Tom) of Lehighton, sisters, Marlene, Gloria and Carol of Breinigsville; grandchildren, Gregory, Crystal, Kevin and Justin; step grandchildren, Adam, Kaitlyn, Cole, Christian and Michael; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Donald, Carl, Stanley and Richard; and son-in-law, John Foley, late husband of daughter Michelle. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fall. I also knew Nancy from work but at Continental Telephone in Emmaus. She was the hardest worker and the service center became family having many adventures after work.. You could never get ahead of her. Also stayed at her place when weather too bad to go home to Auburn. When the service center closed she came to Hershey to help with the backload of work. Staying with me. Always thought of her every time I passed their home and the last couple years tried to contact her but didn´t succeed. A special friend and know she´s having a special time as an angel.

It was with a heavy heart that I read this obituary. A flood of fond memories came rushing through. I worked with Nancy for many years at Daytimers. Not only were we coworkers, but became close friends as well. She had the best stories and knew how to make me laugh. I remember getting together for dinners and going back to her house to play games. She always gave me good advice on life and was a person I looked up to. May you rest in peace, Nancy. I know you already earned your wings!
