hello, pam keichel was my cousin. her mother was my fathers sister. she used to live on center st. in bethlehem.
then they moved to what was still country ( at least there were cornfields all around ) on hanoverville rd. back when we were kids visiting happened. on holidays and probably not holidays. it was a huge one floor house. with a huge basement. i guess i like basements to remember it so. we were two little boys playing with three little girls.
it was different. i recall being scolded for playing with the girls the way i was used to playing with boys. oh well.
i liked going to that house. especially in corn season. when the corn was so high you only saw the top of it and the sky. i think that may well have been why my uncle fritz ( her father ) moved there. they had a big yard and beyond that yard, guess what, cornfields. the visiting stopped as we all got older. that usually happens with some
families. but one thing that goes on longer than the visiting is the memories of the visiting. and that counts right up to the end. rest in peace as they say cousin, your cousin , jeff horning
