Patricia A. Krout

Patricia A. Krout, 78, of Galena, MD, passed away Sunday, July 27th, at Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, DE. Patricia was born in Easton, PA, on April 8, 1947, a daughter of the late William and Ellen (Kline) Lancaster. She was the wife of Michael J. Krout. They would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this coming August. Patricia was a 1965 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Health & Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University in 1969. She was employed as a Health and Phys. Ed. Teacher at the Bethlehem Area School District, Bethlehem, PA until retiring. Prior to that, she worked for Bristol Township School District. After retiring from teaching, Patricia was the director of multiple Daycare's in the Lehigh Valley. Patricia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wind Gap American Legion Post 724. She was a member of the Community Evangelical Church in Reading, PA. In addition to her husband, Michael, Patricia is survived by a son, Ryan M. Krout, a brother, Scott Lancaster, husband of Tamie, two step-grandchildren, Amanda and Arthur Cahill, brother-in-law Karl Krout, husband of Patricia, and sister-in-law Kathryn Gist, wife of James. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Lancaster. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 1st at James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, 6602 Alpha Ave., Martins Creek, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, August 1st, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Church Hill Cemetery, Martins Creek, PA.
